Matthew Schultz is an associate at Levy Konigsberg, LLP. Matthew litigates claims on behalf of victims of sexual and physical abuse. Specifically, Matthew’s practice is focused on representing victims who suffered sexual abuse as children against religious institutions, schools, and foster care agencies.
Before moving to New York City and joining Levy Konigsberg, Matthew lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he ran his own successful legal practice. During this time, Matthew represented hundreds of individuals in lawsuits ranging from probate to civil rights cases in state and federal courts. Matthew was also successfully in multiple jury trials in cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights.
Matthew grew up in Sand Springs, Oklahoma (home of the one and only “Sandites”) and attended the University of Tulsa for both his undergraduate and law school degrees. During his time as an undergraduate, Matthew was a member of the University of Tulsa football team where he was a 2005 Conference USA champion and Liberty Bowl champion. Matthew also received a grant from the National Science Foundation to pursue his research in microbiology. While in law school, Matthew interned with a group of trial attorneys in Tulsa, Oklahoma and participated in numerous bench and jury trials as a licensed legal intern.
Matthew is admitted to practice in New York and Oklahoma. In his free time, Matthew enjoys traveling and spending time with his beautiful wife, Macarena, cycling, and attending live music.
